Frying Shrimp Chips with an Air Fryer
Frying shrimp chips with an air fryer results in crispy, puffed, and light chips without the greasiness that makes them heavy or hard on the throat.

Ingredients
- Pack of shrimp chips, either large or small size
- Cooking oil
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer
Before placing the shrimp chips in the air fryer, you should preheat it first. This is similar to frying shrimp chips in oil, where the oil needs to be hot before adding the chips.
Depending on the type of air fryer, the preheating settings may vary. In this case, Cookbeo recommends setting the air fryer to 150°C (302°F) for 5-6 minutes to reach the ideal temperature.
Fry the Shrimp Chips in the Air Fryer
Place the shrimp chips on the air fryer tray, spreading them out slightly so they can cook evenly and puff up without sticking together.
Before frying, spray a light layer of cooking oil on the chips to help them puff and develop a rich flavor.

For small shrimp chips, set the temperature to 180°C (356°F) for 2 minutes to achieve crispy, puffed chips.
For larger shrimp chips, set the temperature to 170°C (338°F) for 3 minutes for perfectly puffed and cooked chips.
